Background
A.H. Beard is one of the three largest bed manufacturing organisations in Australia. They are a family owned business that has been operating for over 100 years. A.H. Beard has a presence in Australia and New Zealand which services customer groups such as Harvey Norman and David Jones.
Business Problem
A.H. Beard required a detailed evaluation process to be conducted to identify a suitable replacement ERP system for the organisation. This system needed to meet the current and future requirements of the organisation in the areas of BOM, Inventory Planning, Sales Order Management, Manufacturing (light) and Forecasting.
Results
CMC were engaged to assist the business in conducting a structured assessment of proposed replacement Enterprise Applications / ERP solutions. A.H. Beard utilised CMC’s Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) templates and processes to identify a short list of vendors to be considered as solution provider.
Microsoft’s Dynamics NAV solution was selected by the business and implemented successfully.
