Background
ALSPEC were looking to identify a replacement system for an ageing legacy ERP that could no longer support the growth in business.
Business Problem
The problem was to determine the most appropriate business system for ALSPEC going forward which relied on a process for identifying requirements that would enable the business to make an appropriate selection.
While conducting the evaluation and selection process, a number of strategic workshops were held to assess the future direction on a number of key areas in order to enable planning to commence prior to the design stage of the ERP implementation.
Results
An ERP Program Strategy has been put in place to address critical areas of the business requirement.
A pragmatic distillation of business scenarios to cover all functional areas of the business were created during a focussed series of workshops.
A Vendor Evaluation and Selection process has been conducted resulting in the identification of a preferred vendor.
Due diligence has been conducted on the conditional preferred vendor leading to a recommendation to proceed to commercial and legal negotiations.
