"CMC not only brought considerable Project Management skills to our Sales Force Automation (SFA) Project, they also brought evaluation process, tools and a business acumen which allowed us to deliver a significantly better solution to the business.
Following on from our SFA Project, CMC brought similar advantages to project managing our move to a new site. At all times they were able to think outside the square and use their extensive knowledge and contacts to put us in touch with specialists in other areas such as Warehouse Design."

Background
Blackmores has been in business for over 70 years and are the leaders in developing and marketing products, information, services, advice and knowledge on natural health, vitamins, minerals, herbs and supplements and alternative medicine to helping their customers take control of and invest in their health and wellbeing.
They manufacture and distribute their products to pharmacies, health food stores and supermarkets.
Business Problem
Blackmores had engaged Dematic to design a new Distribution Centre for the company's relocation to Warriewood. The project was about to go live and the building of the new Distribution Centre had commenced so there was some urgency in finalising the layout concepts and configuration as soon as possible.
CMC and Darroch Consulting formed a team to assist Blackmores with a strategic QA and Review of the design. The primary objective was to provide an effective and collaborative review involving Dematic, Blackmores and CMC.
Results
CMC / Darroch conducted a focussed analysis and review of the data, current design and operating methods followed by a number of full day workshops at Blackmores.
A number of issues were identified through the review that required minor adjustments, particularly to the smart picking line and CLS binning arrangements. Recommendations were made and the design concept was confirmed and agreed by all parties.
