"When Fantastic was looking to team up with strategic consulting partner we were focused on ensuring that the organisation was completely independent and that they had an excellent knowledge of Supply Chain, Retail and Warehouse Management business systems and processes. CMC was selected because they understood our business and could demonstrate their capability to deliver complex projects.
We have found their consulting and project management staff to be diligent and highly professional, and as such have engaged CMC for a number of projects including the development of a Strategic Information Systems Plan (SISP) focusing on process improvement and IT services for our multiple brands. We then utilised CMC's Vendor and System Evaluation and Selection Methodology as the foundation for our Retail ERP and POS evaluation process. CMC has assisted us greatly in facilitating the right solution for our business. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as their core principles are based on integrity, trust and doing the right thing by their clients".

Background
Fantastic Holdings and their associated companies Plush Lounges, Royal Comfort Bedding and Fantastic Lounge Factory have a disparate set of business systems and applications that offered an opportunity for significant improvements to deliver a more effective outcome for the business in terms of stable processing platform and cost effective support for critical business processes.
The intent for Fantastic is to ensure that the foundation moving forward is appropriate to streamline current business process and information systems to enable significant growth in the business.
Business Problem Fantastic Holdings needed to gain a clear perspective of the projects and deliverables necessary to provide the required platform for the business. Facilitation and executive support was also required for the Steering Committee to be able to provide direction and prioritisation for the key project - Retail ERP and POS replacement.
Results
CMC were engaged to be part of the Logistics and IT Steering Committee. CMC worked with the client to deliver an ERP Strategy and Strategic Information Systems Plan (SISP). This defined the project portfolio and cost estimates for each required initiative.
The CMC strategic planning process enables the categorisation of projects in the portfolio according to QuickWin, Foundation and Primary projects. QuickWin and Foundation projects were initiated once approved by the Steering Committee to provide a foundation for K1 - the Point of Sale / Retail ERP Replacement project.
A comprehensive evaluation and selection process was conducted to enable Fantastic Holdings to identify an appropriate vendor and solution on which to base the strategy for the future.
Foundation projects such as standardisation of master data and cleanup activities were conducted following delivery of the ERP Strategy and completed in time to ensure that the ERP implementation project did not suffer as a result of inconsistent standards across the business.
The Fantastic Holdings project team have completed detailed design workshops with the vendor and the project has been successfully implemented.
CMC is continuing to provide Strategic ERP Consulting and Project Management Support to Fantastic Holdings.
