Professional Experience
Peter has over 36 years experience in Information Technology. He has been the Managing Director of Combined Management Consultants for 30 years (www.cmcaust.com).
Peter has had comprehensive involvement in IT strategic development, steering committee representation, system evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, communications network planning, major program management, business modelling, systems integration management, post implementation reviews, account management, sales and marketing.
He has also delivered major assignments on behalf of many consulting firms, including KPMG, Deloitte Consulting, EDS Consulting, Ernst & Young, IBM GSA and Oracle.
Prior to starting CMC as a consultancy organisation, Peter established a branch office for a Melbourne based software house (Halifax Facilities), managed a division of a medium sized software house with approximately 25 direct report staff and managed the Sales and Marketing teams for two software development companies that specialised in ERP solutions for Distribution, Manufacturing and Warehouse Management across the Supply Chain.
Industry experience includes process and job oriented manufacturing, aluminium, wholesale distribution, warehouse management, retail (POS), telecommunications, transport, fresh and frozen food, retail marketing, promotional campaign management (CRM), clothing manufacturers, insurance and geographic information systems.
Recent Experience
Peter is responsible for the strategic planning across all of CMC's accounts. He has successfully delivered many complex projects for clients in NSW, VIC and QLD. His major recent achievements include:
- Strategic Information Systems Planning, Requirements Definition, Tender Management, Business System Evaluation and Selection, Vendor Due Diligence and Commercial Negotiations for over 25 CMC clients.
- Major systems replacement and integration project involving substantial Change Management with a dairy manufacturer and distributor.
- Strategic Information Systems Planning for two major retailers in preparation for the replacement of their Retail / POS, ERP and WMS systems nationally.
- WMS and ERP Strategy and Implementation for over 20 Manufacturing and Distribution companies.
- Project Strategy and Leadership for an Aluminium and Glass client implementing Oracle e-Business for Supply Chain.
- Program Management for an Office Relocation and SFA / CRM Project Implementation for a Pharmaceutical and Health Foods company.
